As a team manager you play a key role in the success of the team and season. Your main duties are to:

  • COMMUNICATE! - not only schedules but also expectations and information from and to the coach/es about the season plan. This requires being at many practices and games especially at the beginning to establish rapport and to find out the needs of families, players and coach/es
  • Help create an atmosphere of cooperation
  • Recruit volunteers for team and Club needs - delegate! Ask for help! People like to be involved and if you can break down jobs into smaller pieces, families can contribute more easily
  • Educate yourself and your parents as much as possible - about the Club's philosophy and policies, the game of soccer - rules, strategies, etc. and the roles of all participants
  • Familiarize yourself with the Blackhawks web site and the MYSA website which contain useful information and forms.
